Delete Your GlowReader Account & Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your GlowReader account and the personal data associated with it. You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or request deletion by email.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (immediate)

1. Open the GlowReader app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm. Your account and associated data are deleted right away.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, with the subject “Delete my GlowReader account”. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, and email you to confirm.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Your account details (email address and password).
• Any student/reader profiles on the account.
• Photographed book-page images stored for you (in cloud storage).
• Recognized page text and saved documents/history.
• Usage records (page scans, read-alouds, and AI coach activity).

What data is kept, and for how long

We retain payment and transaction records (e.g. order and payment identifiers, amounts, and dates) for up to 8 years after deletion, only where we are legally required to do so for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes under applicable law. These records are kept in a restricted, append-only audit log and are not used for any other purpose. We do not store your card or bank details — payments are handled by our payment processor.
